Injection molding for DSI hollow bodies

About injection molding for DSI hollow bodies.

DSI (Die Slide Injection Molding) is an injection molding method developed by Japan Steel Works that allows for the rapid and accurate molding of complex internal structures in hollow bodies. In the first injection, semi-finished products (two-part products) are molded, and the mold is slid using a hydraulic mechanism to form the hollow body. Further, melting and bonding are performed through a second injection. The DSI method also resolves issues such as uneven wall thickness and weak bonding strength that were seen in conventional hollow molding methods. ■Features■ - Capable of molding complex hollow bodies and assembly molding with insert parts, as well as sealing molding. - Eliminates the need for post-processing, contributing to reduced molding costs and increased productivity. - Bonding areas have a strength approximately 1.5 to 2.0 times that of vibration welding. - Easy control of wall thickness (1.5 to 5.0 mm) and high dimensional accuracy. *For more details, please inquire through a request for materials or download.

Introduction to PIM (Powder Injection Molding) technology!

PIM (Powder Injection Molding) is a technology that allows materials that are difficult to process to be shaped into net shapes with high precision!

Atect Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of metal and ceramic injection molding, is a comprehensive PIM manufacturer that consistently handles everything from material development and manufacturing to molding, sintering, and secondary processing. "PIM" stands for Powder Injection Molding, a technology that involves injection molding using a mixture of metal (MIM) or ceramic (CIM) powders and organic binders. Processing shapes that require precision often relies on cutting, which can pose challenges in terms of mass production and cost when dealing with large quantities, and there are also constraints on processing methods for complex shapes. Our technology provides solutions to these challenging issues! 【Features】 ■ High freedom in materials allows for the injection molding of various metals and ceramics into complex shapes. ■ Our technology enables the molding and sintering of high melting point metals such as stainless steel and titanium with high precision. ■ Silicon nitride and aluminum nitride, which are gaining significant attention as heat dissipation materials for electric vehicles and power semiconductors, can also be molded using our technology. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

Micro Metal Powder Injection Molding "μ-MIM"

We have developed a manufacturing technology for metal powder injection molding applied to micro components, resulting in high-density, high-precision, and complex-shaped sintered products called "μ-MIM"!

At Taishō Industrial, we accept orders for prototype to mass production of high-density, high-precision, and complex-shaped "μ-MIM" products through metal powder injection molding. Metal Injection Molding (MIM) is a technology that involves mixing and kneading metal powder with a binder made of resin and wax, injecting it into a mold, and then sintering it after debinding to produce metal products. We are expanding these MIM technologies into micro components, developing our unique technology as "μ-MIM," and aiming for further technological advancements. "μ-MIM" offers high freedom in material selection, enabling the production of difficult-to-cut materials and high melting point materials. It allows for mass production of complex-shaped precision metal parts and the manufacturing of composite materials through the bonding of different materials. We also implement insert MIM molding for parts with undercuts, contributing to the reduction of assembly, press-fitting, and other processes, as well as improving quality stability and reducing costs, while accommodating screw shapes and transfers.
